Dear all,

The OCE Research Center is celebrating its *** 15th anniversary *** this year! So, we are pleased to welcome you Friday May, 15th @Ecully campus to celebrate this event together! 😊

As an opportunity to reflect in depth on the nature and implications of ethnographic engagement, this event will be organized around a one-day seminar, entitled:

“ L’engagement ethnographique: formation, transformation, dĂ©formation”

Affiche – 15 ans OCE – May 15th

What does it mean to be a engaged ethnographer? Engaged in what, for what, for whom? To accomplish what? These are some of the complex questions that OCE researchers have addressed (willingly or unwillingly
) in the course of their work over the past 15 years. Ethnographic engagement raises many issues, which will be shared and discussed in an informal and problematic way: (1) from a roundtable where OCE members (past and present) will come to explain their ethnographic itinerary, and (2) through a material, virtual, filmed, drawn, photographed exhibition of certain “ethnographic traces” of our work!

Open to complex ethnographic research questions, this convivial event brings together exciting contributions from various fieldworks, and offer you the opportunity to revisit ethnographic perspectives through alternative academic formats in a critical and friendly spirit.

The seminar will be concluded by a complimentary cocktail.
The participation to this event is free of charge. However, participants are expected to cover their travel and accommodation expenses.
